Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Member for Nanango, Deb Frecklington visited the Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) volunteers on Friday, 13 September 2019, as part of their tour of the fire-affected areas in South Queensland. The visit was a gesture of appreciation towards recognising the hard work being put in by those helping on the frontlines.

The PM’s visit also coincides with the government announcing a $100,000 donation to help those affected by the bushfires. The donation will be divided among various charities, with The Salvation Army receiving $25,000 of that initial donation.
