Volunteers bring life to our values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity and collaboration.

Whatever your skillset, availability or areas of interest, you may surprise yourself with the different ways you can demonstrate care for others in our local community and believe in good for those who are struggling.

Volunteering is also an invitation to put your faith into action in an area of ministry you feel God is calling you into or for which you have a passion.

We have many fantastic opportunities for individuals and groups to join us at Sydney City Salvos. Whether you’re an individual wanting to volunteer, a corporate group looking to make a difference, or someone who’d like to give financially or donate items, there’s a way for you to be part of the change.

What does a day look like when you volunteer with us?

Join us for a day of action, where you and your team will be at the heart of the community, contributing to the positive change we’re creating together. This may include:

• Cooking and serving delicious meals for those in need
• Sorting through donations in our Family Stores helps us keep the shelves stocked
• Serving coffee and creating a welcoming space for the community
• Playing card games or hosting art sessions to engage and connect with others
• Jumping in to support with ad-hoc events and maintenance tasks
